The State Of New Jersey Begins Push For 2013 Emmy Honors
By Suri Booze
HOBOKEN – As coverage of the 2012 Emmy Awards winds down, the Garden State draws up plans to earn top honors in 2013.
“I thought we would win Best Drama Series,” said Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice. “What the f*ck is Homeland?”
“Is it on Bravo?” asked castmate Jacqueline Laurita.
There were some New Jersey natives honored this year. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino took home the Best Male Voiceover Performance for a Dramedy for his reading of “Previously, on Jersey Shore… “ featured at the beginning of each episode. And Gayle Giacomo of Jerseylicious earned a statue as the Best Female Who Can Pull Off A Tracksuit.
But the state of New Jersey is hungry for more recognition, and is preparing for a 2013 sweep.
“I bet New Jersey could win Best Writing for a Drama Series,” suggested Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner.
Even Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is considering coming out of retirement for her shot at an Emmy.
“Why do we deserve to win? Because we’re sexy bitches,” said the guidette.
“New Jersey doesn’t want just one Emmy for the state. Every resident deserves a statue,” clarified Governor Chris Christie.
