WASHINGTON, D.C. – Inspired by the recent presidential debates and former Governor of Massachusetts, the College Dropout rapper is releasing a presidential edition of his breakout album.
“This album is for the young people who haven’t registered to vote yet,” said West in a statement. “I think it will encourage them to if they haven’t already, and help inform them about important party issues.”
When West was told voter registration closed October 17th, he had no further comment.
Despite his confusion, the track “Jesus Votes” sheds light on Romney’s religion and politics, borrowing a line from another West favorite: “Champagne wishes and thirty white bitches/ I mean this Mitt is, fucking ridiculous.”
Electoral College Dropout ends with controversial “Made In America,” on which singer Frank Ocean intones “sweet baby Mohammed,” before Kanye accuses Obama of being an oil-rich fundamentalist Muslim socialist koala from Australia.
Some critics aren’t sure how these overtly political remixes will fare. “I’mma let you finish, but College Dropout was the best album of all time,” West proclaimed, interrupting himself during an interview with Ryan Seacrest.
Other rumored tracks include “We Don’t Care (About Healthcare),” “Tapping Through the Wires” and “New Bailout Plan.”
Curiously, Kanye’s recent accusation “Mitt Romney don’t pay no tax!” from Cruel Summer’s “To the World” has been removed from all existing copies of the album and America’s collective memory.
